Ashley, what on earth are slugs and grunts? I’m glad you asked! This custom typeface is in honor of my grandpa, who often referred to fishermen “worse than him” as Slugs & Grunts. Using flies, bobbers, lures, and weights from his tackle box, each character is constructed from a piece of his fly fishing gear. This typeface would make my grandpa proud, proving to him I am neither a slug nor a grunt!
